Ever wonder what monsters and ghouls do when they’re not haunting and hunting mortals? As it turns out, they live surprisingly suburban lives. Meet The Deadlys™ – One such family that lives in the realm of Necroblivion™. There is Jack the serial killer father, Elizabeth the vampire mother and their children Morgan and Viktor.
Elizabeth finds it difficult to get a good night’s sleep with the baby kicking around. Meanwhile, a mischievous prankster is planting flowers and hanging pretty decorations much to the dismay of the monsters in the neighborhood. Can Jack and Zander get to the bottom of this and find out who this trickster is?
When Jack and Elizabeth see what looks like a fun game show, Liz uses her connections at the station to get them on. However, it soon becomes apparent that the two are in way over their heads and may ultimately end up going home losers.
While hunting one evening, one of Jack’s victims gets the drop on him with a gun loaded with a silver bullet. To Jack’s surprise, the bullet actually manages to make a crack in his mask which sends him into a panic. Now he’ll have to confront the person who made his mask if he has any hope of getting it fixed.
A lot of little moments in this month’s issue but all of them are moments worth sharing.
Jack and Zander try an infamous drink known as the ‘Soul Crusher’ with interesting results. Jack gets a new boomerang which he promptly loses (Where it went is anyone’s guess). And Morgan is given the chance to choose the family’s vacation destination but there’s a catch (isn’t there always?).
The family gets an unexpected guest at their door that simply refuses to leave. Can Jack take care of this problem before things devolve into blows? The family also heads out for some fun on Halloween night where Jack bumps into his arch nemesis – The Headless Horseman!
